- 18:30—19:00 Performance by Michel W. (doors open from 18h)
The opening of The Living Wall of Brokenness features a live performance by Michel W., exploring the body as a site of breaking, repair and reconstruction. Moving through the spatial and sound installation developed by MEMO (Pita Kim and Benjamin), Michel works with a latex garment as a temporary second skin, stretching, cracking, peeling and reshaping the material. The movement activates the soundscape composed by Benjamin, bringing sounds and traces gathered from the BoTu neighbourhood into contact with Pita’s spatial structure and the body. Through sound, movement and material, the performance connects bodily vulnerability with a neighbourhood undergoing continuous demolition and reconstruction. The opening invites us to spend time with the fragile and broken parts we each carry—not to conceal or completely repair them, but to make them visible, audible and briefly shared with one another.
