Meinke ten Have is a photographer and collector of objects and images, living and working in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Her practice explores the visual traces people leave behind through everyday objects and images, with a particular interest in photographs found on online second-hand marketplaces. What begins as practical documentation of objects for sale becomes, in her eyes, a collection of intimate portraits, which offering glimpses into private lives, memories, and the ways we express ourselves through what we keep, collect, or hide.

After more than a decade working in fashion and advertising photography, Meinke now focuses on autonomous, archive-based projects. Through collecting and collage, she transforms these fleeting images into new compositions, giving ordinary and forgotten objects another kind of presence.
