Romy Wesdorp explores how photography can contribute to a more conscious and attentive way of looking at our surroundings. She is drawn to slow processes such as analogue photography, inspired by a fascination with traditional crafts and a desire to slow down in an increasingly fast-paced world. Through this slower way of working and looking, she aims to highlight how nature reflects the rhythms of life: its cycles and changes.

Having grown up along the Dutch coast, the coastal landscape remains an important source of inspiration for her work. This is reflected in photographs taken in Rockanje, The Netherlands, and Bosa, Italy, each with their own unique characteristics.
